Camp Chris: The home away from home
"Camp Chris is my home." This is what many who have been able to experience this wonderful place say. From the young age of 5 to the present, I have attended Camp Christopher. I have been a part of the family for almost 10 years now. Camp Chris is my family. I had a rough time growing up. I felt lonely, abandoned, and scared for most of my childhood. Camp changed all that. The counselors there, they became more than mentors to me; they not only saved my life, they gave me my life.
The Christopher Spirit
What is the Christopher Spirit? The Christopher Spirit is the spirit that is each and everyone of the campers and counselors that walk through the gates. It is real. It is in the air. It is happiness, love, and peace. It is the ability to go into the Mudpit with joy. The ability to go on hikes with Nature Michael and read stories. It is the ability to sit around the campfire with your sisters and brothers and feel at home. It is you.
